Year-Ender Post

Moments from now... we will say "bye-bye" to 2005 and say "hello" to 2006.
To most people here in our place, the way they say "bye-bye" is by burning money - lots of them. :(
This is a sad thing to see but it's tradition and from experience, tradition is a very hard thing to change. So, I'll just mind my own business and watch them burn there money.:)

I'm looking at 2006 as the year of action. I feel that this is a year where we roll-up our sleeves and get our hands dirty. This could be the year of great harvest [savings] though I read that the year of greater harvests [for those who are working smart] will start on 2008. Hmmmm... I am not playing psychic or anything.. just feeling the whole thing.

So I am very excited about this whole thing. The future is indeed an exciting topic. My friend once said, "Let's not talk about the past. Let's talk about the future and then we will be happy."

Looking at the future... I can say only 2 words..."Akin Yan!!!!" :D

from P.Mitch's blog

"poise under pressure"- like this one.:)

sometimes i get to be emotional that i set my logic aside.:)
I forgot my poise and dwell on pressure.

Very true.. pressures are just in the head and not in the hand.:)
This year i learned to lift up my arms and hands to the Lord...
"God you know what I am going through... I know you have great plans for me.
I am created for a special calling and purpose. I trust in you alone. Deliver me from this situation."

And God really... as in really answers prayers.

I realized that I am soft person and I am easily moved [sometimes cry] by deep emotions.

When I was young, my classmates would always tease me since I cry easily [even when I am angry]. I thought something is wrong with me; I thought, I was gay or something so I tried not to cry when I feel grief or any heavy emotion. When my eyes starts to water... I would look away and think of my something else that will keep me from crying. Still, sometimes, I cannot hold them all - I ended up breaking down.

I later realized that nothing is wrong with crying. In fact, I think the bravest thing a man could do is to shed his tears on a cry-able situation, in front of people who might tease him or doubt his sexual preferrence after the event. Crying is simply being true to yourself and to others.

I loved crying in cry-able events. It will not show that I am weak, it simply says I am man enough to admit that I feel something.:)

Stating the Obvious

Is blogging just another way to be heard?
Is blogging just another cry to say... "hear me out OK"?

If not then.. why not just write all your thoughts in a notebook/diary.
If you say you don't like writing and prefer typing.. then why not just type in a word processor and save it in a hidden-lock-private folder.
If you say that web is better than word processor then why not learn html and create a local website to post and read.
If you say you are too tired to learn then.. I would say, this is something very hard for me to believe.
Why?
Because, throught time, people has been very sensitive when it comes to protecting their privacy. I heard of a lot people who would kill just to protect that privacy. How much more leard something.. to protect your own privacy.

Blogging is a bit of an oxymoron... it's a private thing but is really a public thing.
Some people type/write private emotions/events/informations in it to just express private matters but is really available publicly.
It's a private expression which can be a public displayed.
With a bit of chance and accidental browsing in the internet... your private thoughts could just be read by anybody - people you know and you don't know.
Sometimes, I wonder why are people so confident posting such private stuffs when they are aware that those stuffs that they posted could be easily read by anybody.
Why?
Probably because there is still a bit of reservation for a blogger...
There is what we call a plan B beneath every post.. meaning, "just in case [name] founds out"
this will be how it looks like.

So what's my point? Nothing.... just....stating the obvious.
Josiah: i have a looooooot to read...
[inserted] Josiah: It's even a miracle i am still able to post.
Josiah: haaay.. i felt like i was just wasting my time solving ptrs...
Josiah: last week..
Josiah: i should hv studied..
Josiah: bt thinking bout it.. i would have not appreciated studying if i didnt solve ptrs..
Josiah: in totality... no regrets..

Lesson learned: between two good things... just pick one.. no sweat..

#5 my sisters - if my mentors taught me to dream big, they thought me to dream. They taufght me to move forward and not be contented with where we are. They taught me to survive. Some of them sacrificed their personal agenda just for me to succeed. I learned from them, their experiences about my father, because of that, I had painted in my mind, a great father who is committed to my succees. So more or less, I have felt the love of my father even though I was not able to experienced him as I grew up.

#6 my friends in the office - my team. They are very supportive people. They contibuted a lot of my personality. We both learned from each other. There are a lot of things I would say bout each of them but this will make this post longer.

#7 people in church that inspired me - surely God placed them there to inspire me. "Oh my all who come behind us find us faithful."

Thank you Pastor Mitch for inspiring me to write this one.

Looking back, this year, 2005 has been a different year for me. For one, this is my first year of being a full employee of Lexmark and receiving my regular income has been a test for me; my faithfulness in handling my finances is very much being tested. This is not about returning the tithes and giving the offering but about what happens to the remaining 85% of my income. This year, I learned (not fully learned though) a lot in that area and my desire to really be disciplined and be faithful grew. Another is, I have meet more men of God this year than any year in my life so far, there's Rev. Tony Pool, Vins Santiago, Georgian Banov, Pstr. Ted [forgot his last name.. it sounds like "labas!"... kidding sounds like Manlangit], Pstr. Carding Siok [bata ako ni Lord], Pstr. Aljef [fruits that lasts], Pstr. [Bimbol-rocco-look-a-like] and some other pastors and evangelists. Thank you Lord for bringing me people who challenge me to go beyond where I am today. Another is I have read[on my own] and owned more books this year than any year in my life so far. And I have dreamed bigger dreams [and achieve some of them] this year than any other year in my life so far. Also I think I have grown faster, this year than any other year so far. Praise the Lord for that!

This Sunday, we will celebrate Thanksgiving Sunday and here is my partial list of people I thank the Lord for. Lord thank you for:
#1. My mom, Evangeline Librero - my hero. The lady who gave up a lot of things for me. The lady whose passion for the Lord is my inspiration. She is not perfect but I loved her not only because she is my mother but because she is love-worthy. If you are me you will understand what I am saying, you would probably say, "who would not love a mother like that." She is probably the first person who believes in me.

#2. my mentors - Pastor Noel and Pastor Siony. They believed in me and they help me grew as a person. They are committed to be used by God and as a result, I grew as a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. I learned that the Lord has really great plans for my life because they never stopped [until now] teaching and inculcating that fact in my spirit.

#3. my gilfriend - Joyce Marie Galindo. She is the second person, I express my dreams, hopes and fears to. She believed in me, she belived that I can make our future brighter. She thinks I can do many things and I can make things happen. She appreciates every single thing I do. Though, sometimes we argued, she still loved me. She thinks I have what it takes to make my dreams a reality. I was never afraid in telling her my dreams because I know she will fuel it.

#4. my media friends - Kuya Joe, my leader, he is always patient on me and appreacites my ideas. He sees the same future that I am seeing and is committed to pursue it. I learned a lot from him; Mel, she my very close friend, I thank God for her maturity. Her growth is always my joy. She makes me feel trustworthy and she always pruds me to go on; Gerard, he does a lot of things better than me and I thank the Lord for that. Without him, I can't imagine a lot of things in the team. He makes the world rounder; Dave, his maturity has been my inspiration. My trust for him grew in every moment; Tiff, her thoughtfulness always touches me. There are a lot of details that I overlook but she catches them as easy as ABC. When I look at the Tiff before and the Tiff she definitely has grown to be a better person.

#5. my sisters - [to be continued]

Child-like

Peter Dawn: "I don't know if I am just imaginning it or it was a bit of epiphany but on my way back to the office about 2-3 days ago... I felt like I am being accompanied by two angels about 9 feet tall. I felt so confident! Man, what if it is true... uh! that means I have two bodyguards with me.."

Nicholas Evening: "So what do they look like? "

Peter Dawn: "I didn't look up, I think I just saw their shadows and a some featherly wings."

Nicholas Evening: "Cool.. I hope I will have something like that happened to me to.. uhmmm.. it's not that I totaly believe you.. buuut I think I do believe you.."

Burning Bush

Last night, I felt that the Lord spoke to me again. It is not as facinating as the burning bush encounter of Moses but the Lord did spoke to me in a way I have not expected. When some of the people can easily dismiss the event as coincidence, I count it as one of the instances when God just use other people to bring in His word to me. After I re-evaluated what happened I would say that in order for that event to happen, I have to arrive at the hobbit house exactly that late; I have to tell my friend "let's watch this program"; I have to experience that technical difficulty that I have to restart the program, my friend has to ask the question at that particular time of the program and I have to hold my tongue and not discuss it, my other friend has to say,"what? I'm sorry cz I'm listening to this guy" for us to listen as well and moments later we got the answer to my friend's question, which is consistent with the Word of God and only magnified by the timing of our need at that very moment of time.:)

The Bible says that the path of the righteous is ordered by the Lord. This means that God is going to put us in the right place and in the right time so that we will achieve our purpose.
Coincidence? I don't think so.

I would have dismiss this event if I have not prayed for it but I have. I feel like this is just the beginning - I'm excited for more of the Lord's presence.:)

Next Generation

I have in my arms the latest member of my family.
He is just very adorable. He won't let just anybody carry him.
Right now, I have two sons and two daughters. These kids will replace us in the future. My prayer always is that they will grow in favor with God and men.

Connection

Worship is really the best thing that I really enjoy doing. It's a great time to pour out yourself to God and just meet Him in a very special way. It's just so wonderful to worship God in songs and words and dancing. It's just wnderful to give back that glory to Him and just connect with Him in very personal way. I mean, I've been a lot of places in my life and have been with different people and different events but I could honestly say.. nothing beats worshiping God - nothing beats or surpasses the time with Him. It is really true that... one day with the Lord is a thousand days elsewhere. When God touches you... man, it's really the greatest thing! Man... it's just so wonderful to be in the presence of God.

I've seen a lot of changes in the lives of the people when they encountered the Lord. Worship is just a wonderful to do!

Last Saturday, I went to Cruiser's [my youth group in college] Jump Around concert, and it was just an amazing thing... worship is just so great and overwhelming and so delivering... sometimes.. I can't help but cry... it ws just so great to worship and lift Jesus high!
One young person [who used to be a hooked drug user] testified that being in the presence is way better than being high in drugs! Amen!

I'll post some pictures later.

oracle

Arha-shun: "Everytime I see myself in the waters... I feel that I am looking at a person who will fulfill his destiny. He knows it won't be easy but he will surely be what he is created to be."

The seer: "You have spoken of your future as if it has already supervened. You have spoken with your heart in front of a soothsayer, yet I cannot see your future. It appears to me that you are Magnania, unlike any other being in our world, your future cannot be perceived. It seems that you will make your own destiny."

At last... I finally found the time to write. It's so hard... not being able to record your thoughts. Sometimes.. its like breathing with a gas mask on.:) I really found writing something interesting. I probably got positively contaminated by Melai to write my thoughts; for that, thanks Mel!

I missed talking also... I remember handling a Bible study in college and making my short sermon for the week. It's something I really felt great doing; inspiring people to grow, move forward, get close to the Lord, find meaning in life and develop their relationship with God. Seeing people's eyes widen as I speak God's truth is a very rewarding experience. Trurly, when you know the Truth, the Truth shall set you free.

The week has been somewhere between the ordinary and the almost exceptional. I felt like God showed me a lot of my character flaws [Ouch]. I did not experienced any spanking just some warnings. A lot of times, I deliberately disobeyed the Lord. Then I read 2 Peters, it says, "...[you are] blind or shortsighted...". Repent! [suka!]
I re-introduced myself to discipline once again and it was pretty humbling. [suka!]
I have a lot of things I want to write... but for now.. enjoy melancholy.

melancholy

Nivarthe: "Hey!... there you are. What are you doing there? Come up here and join with us. Ashaia and Leno are reigning the dance floor. Come on let's have the time of our lives!

Shefagae: [sigh]

Nivarthe: "What's wrong with you? you seemed troubled? Oh no... is it the liquor?"

Shefagae: "Hhhuhnng... No it's not the liquor and it's not the dancing... it's everything!. I mean, look at us, we dance we drink... we have fun. And then what? We look for another good time again.. All I'm saying is that... we are just going in circles. I mean.. we are just chasing.. excitement. Is this all there is? Isn't there anything more? Is is this just life is all about?"

Worlds Apart II

Alkiemna: "Does the distance of our worlds matter in our love? Is loving you and being with you too big to ask?" You loved me; I loved you - is that hard to understand?"

Mickael: "Please stop... I don't want to hear it anymore... Hearing your words are like pinch of death to my heart. I know breathing won't be easy without you but again, a Celestian should know better than loving a Gaian."

worlds apart

Alkiemna : "What are you talking about?"
Mickael : "I mean, if I search my heart I know I desire to stay and be with you but the truth is.. we can never be together as long as you stay in Gaia, for I am a Celestian"

Payables

Welcome to the wolrd of payables! Moments ago, I was really having a strong feeling of writing about "The emptiness of this world". Let me talk about it a little bit, well, this world is empty and after all the fun and "success" this world gives there will always be a moment of silence and the "fun" and "success" will either be distant, fading or unimportant. One person says, "everything will go back to the box". And this is really true... this world is empty. I remembered having the same feeling a King Solomon as he wrote the Book of Ecclesiates... "everything is empty.. it just like chasing the wind". And you know what.. going after the "fun"... is just like "chasing the wind"; You thought you have it but it's nowhere. This world is empty and the Book of Ecclesiaites said something about why we (all people that ever existed) chase the wind; it says that because there is an emptiness in our heart which God created so that we will long for Him. How's that?

Anyway, again for my payables... ahhh.. I mean, payables really changes things. And it changes how we should look at things. I get shaken when it comes to money because is important. God knew that money is important so when He came here He talked about it many times. Check the Bible's first four books of the New Testament for that. Still, the Lord is good and He will make a way even in the natural things are getting a bit shaky. And like the 3 believers talked about in the book of Daniel, I will say to everyone, "I know the Lord God Almighty is able to deliver me in this situation but even He won't deliver me, I will still praise and worship Him."

Epiphany

Juan Perdo: "How did you know she is the right one for you? I mean, how could you
possibly give it all up?"

Andress Tibay: " I don't know.. but the moment I looked at her... and she looked back at me and
I saw the sparkle in her eyes, all I saw was our future. She and me standing
closely side by side, promising to each other forever. And from that day on.. I said
to myself... I'll risk everything."

Death

I am not a theologian so I could be wrong and any of may correct me with this article.

I found that there are 3 kinds of death mentioned in the Bible.

1. Physical death - the common death that we know; the separation of the spirit from the body.

2. Death to sin - this happens when we receive the Lord Jesus Chist in our hearts and make Him our Lord and Savior. As a result, His gift of salvation, we will receive and we are now save. Being dead to sin means death to the world. Sin no longer has the authority over us and we are now a free being. A lot of believers stop here. After accepting the Lord Jesus Christ, they just go to church and stay there. Nothing more, nothing less. I admitt that I, myself fall into this stagnation. I enjoyed being dead to sin. I enjoyed the forgiveness of he Lord everytime I sin against Him. But later in my walk with Him, I discovered another death that should happen to me. The third kind of death - Death to self.

3. Death to self - even though we are dead as far as sin and this world is concerned, we still have self to fight against. Our flesh and ego is still fighting against God. Even though, we have accepted the free gift of savation, we still have our flesh that wants to rule our lives. I realized that my motives and decesion are clouded by self. When I discovered from the Word of God that I need to die to self - I begun to understand what the New Testaments said about "putting to death self" and Paul's famous statements, "to live is Christ and to die is gain" and "No longer I who live but Christ who lives in me"

I don't want to be very theological about this but to simply put, Jesus needs to be at the driver seat.
We need to die to self.

I want to discuss more on this but I don't have the luxury called time.'Till next time.

Roadkill

Just awhile ago, on my way to my girlfriend's place, I rode a jeep with a nut driver. I mean, really nuts. He actually tried to bump a taxi along Osmena Blvd. The taxi driver who is also nuts also tried to bump back and they almost got into collision. I don't know who started it but the buttomline is, they tried to scare and bump each other with passengers on board. Wow!!! These morons almost got us killed!! Man, the conductor justified the bumping by saying the the taxi cut the jeepney first. Man, he didn't even realized that they have a pregnant woman on board! They seemed to enjoy this whole thing while putting all of us at risk. They acted like kids on wheels. I forgot to note their plate numbers(I wish I would have).Sayang!

Anyway, I realized that we sometimes act like these moron drivers. We put up unnecessary risk and neglecting our responsiblities. As a result, we put people at risk. Sometimes, we get nuts and become emotional on the little things that irritate us. Then we tried to justify our actions by saying, "he/she cut me first". Duh! We act like kids just to keep our flesh (ego) satisfied. We do these things without even realizing that we put some stupid risk to pregnant subjects that are around us. Sometimes, the result of this is miscarriage; dream-miscarriage; future-miscarriage;relationship-miscarriage;life-miscarriage;

I learned that in driving, even though you are right and your "opponent" is wrong you have to give way, or you will be right and dead (dead-right). In life, there are times were we have to give up our egos or we will end up a roadkill.

The girl that rocked my heart.

Yeah... you guessed it right, this post is going to be corny so just hold on. In Bisaya, "untong lang mu ky bidli ni".

She's 18 Y.O. now.. at long last.:) After 2(?) years of waiting, my girl finally turned 18. [BIG yeah!!!]

At last, her parents can no longer charge me of kidnapping everytime we go out on a date.:)

This lady rocked my heart from top to bottom. I mean, for the past 1 plus years, I had a lot of different emotions with this lady; from sadness to gladness and from madness to greatness.
She is Proverbs 31 with the beaty unerased.:)
I praise the Lord for this lady. I love her with all my heart.:)

James 4:10

[New Living Translation] 10When you bow down before the Lord and admit your dependence on him, he will lift you up and give you honor.

[Amplified Bible] 10Humble yourselves [feeling very insignificant] in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you [He will lift you up and make your lives significant].

[The Message] 10Get down on your knees before the Master; it's the only way you'll get on your feet.

[New King James Version] 10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.

Picture this

Picture this...

Jesus Christ came into your heart and room around...
what would He see in your heart?

How would you react?
Would you feel comfortable Him seeing your heart?
Would you push Him out?
Or would you let Him stay?
Are you going to make room for Him?
Or are you going to make your heart His room?

I found a song that says something
about Jesus coming to our heart...
Here the writer told the Lord Jesus Christ... Welcome home..

Welcome to this heart of mine
I've buried under prideful vines
Grown to hide the mess I've made
Inside of me
Come decorate, Lord
Open up the creaking door
And walk upon the dusty floor
Scrape away the guilty stains
Until no sin or shame remain
Spread Your love upon the walls
And occupy the empty halls
Until the man I am has faded
No more doors are barricaded

Come inside this heart of mine
It's not my own
Make it home
Come and take this heart and make it
All Your own
Welcome home

Take a seat, pull up a chair
Forgive me for the disrepair
And the souvenirs from floor to ceiling
Gathered on my search for meaning
Every closet's filled with clutter
Messes yet to be discovered
I'm overwhelmed,
I understandI can't make this place all that You can

I took the space that You placed in me
Redecorated in shades of greed
And I made sure every door stayed locked
Every window blocked, and still You knocked

Take me, make me
All You want me to be
That's all I'm asking, all I'm asking

Kidding.:) The guy in the middle is our actor. The two on his side are extras. :)
Nice acting Neilvert!

BTW, we did this shot with a chrome in mind, as in chroma key. Notice the green screen behind us, this thing will do the trick with a little magic from our technical director.
Whala! we have our winning video!
yesterday was a blast. i went to sleep about 7:30 pm and woke up around 10pm. then went back to sleep til 4am(today). prayed and read the Word of God till 5am then went back to sleep til 7:30am.
All in all i had about 12hrs and 30 min of sleep...:) How's that?

jUst a thought...
two days ago, I rode with a very old man in the jeepney. He is a very old, around 80+ to 90 years old. He said that he is on his way to veteran's bank. He wore a cap with the texts : USAFFEE World War II Veteran (I'm n0t sure if I got the right letters - but something like that). And when we stopped somewhere in SSS building (btw, we started from Ayala; route 14D), he said, that during the '30s this place are all woods. I just thought, wow this guy is ancient.:) I was thinking, "man, I just rode with somebody who fought during WWII and lived." I remember by grandPa and he is around that age; also fought in the battle but probably not as old as this guy. We'll no leasson from that experience but I just want to take a note of this guy.

An hour-a-day prayer

I used to pray only when I feel like praying, only when somebody asks me to pray and only whenI have emergencies in life and I need God to help me out in my situation.

One Friday afternoon, I had one of the normal suddenlies in life. Its not life threatening but I could say that it stirred me a bit. I don't know why it stirred me but I just feel a bit sad. So I prayed and ask the Lord for... nothing in particular just His presence and some comfort. I got what I asked for and the Lord assured me that everythings going to be alright.

Since my prayer, I felt confident that the Lord took care of me but I'm a bit hungry for more of the Lord's presence and comfort. I feel the need to get serious with my prayer life.

That night, I met my pastor-friend and she brought with her a book. I didn't read the title just the looks of it made me think that its not about leadership or anything of kind of genre so I just look at the back cover and then my eyes caught the statement, "If you've been too busy, too tired, or too lazy to pray, this book is for you." After reading that statement, I quickly said "WOW!!! This book is for me." After hearing those words my pastor-friend then asked for the book back then removed the book marker and then gave the book to me. Wow!!! What a surprised!

That night, I read the book and found a lot of things that I miss as a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. Prayer is very essential to a Christian. One part of the book says it is a sin for a Christian not to pray. I'm not talking about just any prayer or prayer time, I'm talking about setting a time with the Lord like you meeting your boss 1 hour everyday. And talking to Him like you are talking to a Father who cares for you and who is concerned about anything that happens in your life.

This book called "Let Prayer Change your Life" by Becky Tirabassi is a book about prayer and answered prayers. She said that after making a committment to pray 1 hour every single day, she saw God's hand move in her life. Her faith grew in the Lord and she never stopped praying for 11 years. For 11 years, she saw her life moved by the Lord simply because every single day, she would talk to the Lord about anything that happens to her.

When we pray, we unleashed a very strong POWER from the Lord. We go with the flow of God and just get fall afresh in His presence.

I made a decision to do the same; to pray for an hour everyday because I want to experience a deeper relationship with God.

For the past days, the devil has been tying to get me down with my decision and he is just trying to stop me; tempting me to do other things to quit and just go on without praying. Becky, never mentioned experiecing a lot of distractions when she begun her committment but I have a lot of them. I mean, it's just like bombs are being dropped in my feet but because of these I can feel now that I'm on the right track and I'm just excited on what God will do in my life.

When is death a good thing?

When is death a good thing?

Death is inevitable. In the natural, death is a consequence of life. People mourn in times of death. Few people really rejoice over death of a love one.

So is there a good thing in death? When is death ever good?

Someone told me that people resists change. I believe that death is a kind of change or a change agent so people resist death. People know that things will never going be the same after someone dies.

Death means change and that change is different for different people and different family.

To our family, the death of my father means our lives are going to be tough. Being tough means financial lack, flat poverty and flooding debt. My sisters told me times when we don't have any money to buy food and they have to improvise and use soy sauce mixed with rice for their meal.At that time my mom was drowned in debt.We were very poor. But it was in those times when my mom lifted ourlives to the Lord. She doesn't have anyone to go to but to the God who created the universe. Those were the times when my mother's faith was built that even when I became an atheist, she still prayed for me every morning while I'm still asleep. My mom's faith grew and so are my sisters'. They became tougher than before.

When I thought I was going to die, I had a change of heart since I realized that life is so short and so fragile.I told myself, "Man, I am going to die and I didn't even have a girlfriend." Then I asked, "why is it that I don't have a girlfriend?". Then I realized that it was because I was afraid; I was afraid I was going to get dumped; I was afraid to be hurt; I was afraid to be vulnerable; I was afraid that that person will not feel the same way as I do. I told myself. "Now because of being afraid, I will die without even telling the lady (my crush at that time) I loved how special she is to me. Sayang! If only I was brave enough to show that I am soft. Even though she may not feel the same way it could have been alright as long as she knows.. I cared for her." Then I prayed to the Lord and I said," God let me live, I have so much to do. I am so young to die. I still have unconfessed feelings to a lady." The Lord healed me and I went out of the hospital a changed man.

I realized that any moment could be our last. The words we left to a friend could be the last words we will ever leave them. The emotions we express to our parents could be our last.

If there's anytime to show care to your friend, family, officemate, schoolmate or anybody, the best time to do it is, anytime today. It could be our or their last lets make it count.

Psalms 90:12 says "Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom."

sitting, waiting and smilling

fishing

We were fishing in the pool for some styros. I didn't caught anything. Too bad..

they've done it again

There is a very thin line that separates the looks (physical make-ups) of the ladies and the gays. Today, I've seated (in the jeepney) beside a "chick" with a rebounded hair and until now I still don't know (for sure) if "it" is a "she" or a "he". I think she is a she but she just looks like my "he"-friend named Jason who looks like a she. I hope today's men won't get confused with "she"-looking-"he" and "she"-looking-"she" and "he"-looking-"she". I'm sure more will things will be invinted to make that thin line more blurry.

God help us!

crossing the island

Faith Week

Today, our church celebrates Faith Week. I realized that I had enough dose of "reality" that it is a bit hard for me to believe that God can do the supernatural.

I remember a story in the Bible where a father came to Jesus with a boy who has an evil spirit in him. When the spirit saw Jesus, the boy went into convulsion. Then Jesus said, "If you can? Everything is possible for those who believe." The father answered, " I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief."(mark 9:14-30)
There are times that I would say to God, "Lord, I believe you; help me in my unbelief."

Yesterday, I have a hard time believing. I mean, I can believe the small stuff but the BIG ones are a bit hard to digest. I told the Lord all the things that I want to happen that I have a hard time imagining. Probably the Lord saw my agony and He stepped in and reminded me of the Scripture that says, "According to your faith it shall be done unto you."(Matt 9:29)

It's just amazing that God operates in this faith area. It's like that God is saying "You want it? Then believe first!" God will not just give it to you right away; you need to believe first. If you read the first four books of the New Testament you will notice that Jesus really appluads when He sees people of faith. On the other hand part of the Scripture says that "Jesus did not do many miracles there [some place] because of the people's unbelief."
The book of James says something like this, " when you ask, believe and not doubt... [when you doubt] you should not expect to receive anything from the Lord."

"According to your faith it shall be done unto you." I have to believe, otherwise nothing will happen. I have to believe that whatever God said in His Word will happen in my life or it will not happen.

I remember the words, "God can do exceedingly, abundantly, more that anything you could ever think or ask for."

Today, as the church celebrates Faith week, I am reminded to believe God for great things; greater than myself! I have always been an advocate of believing God for big things [at least that's how I thought, I think] but now I know that I have not believed enough and/or what I have believed for are not big enough.

Nothing is impossible for the Lord! Would you believe?

Why is it that everytime I commit myself to follow what God wants me to do, something always happen to drive me away from that committment?

I just committed to live straight for the Lord, to go back to my passion, to come back to the heart of worship, to live fully for God; suddently, temptations just flew around like hell!!!

These temptations doesn't looked like any temptations at all. In a way, following these thoughts are gratifying and in a way "alright". And if you explore it, it may look logical and justifiable.:)

This is one of the things that I could say, is not a walk in the park.

The Lord rescued me (still); the Bible says, the Lord "will provide a way out" when we encountered these things.

He surely knows my limits and He knows at what point will I breakdown.

I got out from it unscratched. Thanks to the protection of the Lord.:)

Update from Josiah's life

whaaa!! i just came back from the province. i spent my long(?) vacation there and frankly, i didn't felt relax.:) I can't say i need more time to rest but I just felt like reporting back to work tomorrow.:)

i just browse through my friendster and i found a couple that i think are sweet to each other-Ali and Aiko. Just looking at them made me smile always. I'm not always a romantic guy that's why my gf sometimes complain to me about it. Most of the time, I'm more on functional that aesthetics. Anyway, i found this couple with deep devotion to each other and I could say we seldom see couple like them. To Aiks and Ali, best wishes. :)

i also found heart evangelista's friendster. I'm not sure if that's really her.hehehehehe... im not a fan but she's really pretty, just like my one and only girlfriend, Joyce. :)

ahmmm.. i got some pics from the province. i'll post some of them sometime.

as always.. i have new plans for myself and for my friends.:) as usual my plans need money..
anyway.. ill take things easy since the Bible says, "The steps of the righteous are ordered by the Lord." I'm pretty sure God is ordering things up for me right now as I am typing this post; that's why i have these desires. :)

I remember a pastor say something like this, "If we want to soar on wings like an eagle,we must quit thinking like a chicken - get rid of the chicken mentality." Hehehe.. sad to say we think like chicken sometimes.:(

another techno

my friend asked me how to turn-off filter key.
The Activation:
Filter key option gets activated by pressing right shift key for about 8 seconds.
A window will pop-out telling you about activating the filter key. Click OK to go on and cancel to cancel. But this must be another Microsoft bug since clicking cancel will not actually cancel the activation of this option.

Another way to activate it is to go to Control Panel->Accessibility Option, ont the Keyboard Tab check use filter keys.

But do you really want to do that?

The Effect:
What will happen after the activation is that, every time you click on a window (or a page) everyhting gets highlighted. More weird things will happen but I didn't explore its effect on my PC since it was not my intention to really activate it.

The Cure:
Hold the two shift keys at the same time. No window will pop-out but the filter key option gets disabled.

romance and group hug

"Romance!" and "group hug!"

Romance - A mysterious or fascinating quality or appeal, as of something adventurous, heroic, or strangely beautiful.
- A strong, sometimes short-lived attachment, fascination, or enthusiasm for something.

Romance reminds me of a feeling of blood rushing from veins to veins. I simply call this feeling - "the rush". Reminds me of a song that says," it came over me in a rush and I realized that I love you so much that sometimes I cry and I can't tel you why... why I feel what I feel inside.."
You really can't describe that mixed feeling of turmoil and excitement. The RUSh, as I call it, not only causes a sense of blood rush but also causes a decision-rush. You know, when you have this on the rush feeling of excitement, you also feel the need to do rush-decisions. One person told me that when you are in a hightened emotion don't make a decision. Some people took the risk of rushing and they got burned; some got away with it unscratch. But still, most of the rush-decisions made on rush-moments are stupid.

Group hug - an action made as an expression of celebrating triumph.

We just love seeing basketball players jumping and hugging after winning a championship.
We just love football players running and hugging after every goal made. Simply a basic but rich expression of celebration. Psychologist tells us that man has his/her own "private sphere". This is a space that surounds us that we "unconsciously" call our own. We just don't let anybody intrude our private spheres. That will explain why we just don't get physically close with anybody. Group hug simply breaks "private spheres". Somehow, people celebrating and group hugging lay down their defenses and share a sense of oneness with other people. I would say a hug (in its purest form) is a sign of acceptance and celebration. We hug our brothers in faith to tell them they are loved and accepted and we celebrate their presence.

moment of weakness

huh... after a century of silence, I'm back to the bloggie world.
My Pastor once said something like this, "If you don't have anything good something to say, keep quite." And I think I am doing it; I am silent.
I have a choice: I can choose to enumerate all my frustrations and justify my actions with a lot of words and explain why I am a freakin victim... yadahyadahyadah or I could keep my mouth shut and meditate on other things.

I choose the latter and lift my concerns to the Lord. But you know what, I have found out that this action that seemed glorified is not a walk in the park. The thought of being frustrated keeps coming back and the words and actions of the people that pissed me off just tried to sink itself on my mind. Huh.. I have right here (pointing to my mind) a battle - the battle is in the mind.

So whose winning? That will be found out later.

I prayed to the Lord and prayed some more still it seems that my mind just continued to draw in those thoughts. Col 3:2

"What about me?"- this is one of the thoughts I really enjoyed hating.

huh? better? i dont think do..

out of nowhere

an hour of mouse clicking...
an hour of keyboard typing...
still no words to share to the world...
not even words with no forms...
I'm at my drama moment again...
probably it's my time to reflect again...
probably I have something to settle with myself...
i felt my wings broke again...
i looked back and i see not a single footprint...
i looked forward and i cannot see a single light...
these are one of the moments when the jackals
will laugh their hearts out...
they will say "Just as I thought you will fail."
i can hear the jackals mocked me...
somehow I can say,"Thank you jackals."
I have heard their songs before...
before I decided to move on...
before I tasted my next level of success...
before I decided not to listen to these jackals.
I know what to do...
stop listening to the laughter of the jackals...
as for the what's next.. prov 3:5-6.

I found an interesting article titled:
Diary of a Network Administrator: Julia Roberts and COM1 Folders

If your into techno stuff its fun and informative.
If you are interested you may read it here :http://www.phptr.com/articles/article.asp?p=31278

Microsoft explanation for folder rename (two posts below).

The vulnerability results because of a flaw in the way Windows 95 and 98 (including Windows 98 Second Edition) parse file path names. Device names such as COM1, CON or LPT1 are reserved words, and they can't be used as folder or file names. When parsing a reference to a path, Windows 95 and 98 check for the presence of a single DOS device name in the path. If one is found, the path is correctly treated as invalid and an error is returned. However, neither Windows 95 nor 98 check for multiple DOS device names. This is the source of the vulnerability.

comment for post below from a guru friend

psst this is cool... But.. nuhh i don't think Bill Gates doesn't know it. Con is one of the reserved device names in his baby DOS. Along with it are: com1 till com9, lpt1 till lpt9, prn ,aux, nul and clock$.

microsoft bug

An Indian discovered that nobody can create a folder or file anywhere named as "con" or "CON". This is something pretty cool and unbelievable At Microsoft the whole Team, including Bill Gates, couldn't answer why this happened . Try it out yourself

Excellence in your Workplace: Pictures with the speakers

Excellence in your Workplace's Home Run Hitters

Yesterday, I attended a seminar called "Excellence in your Workplace".
I decided to list down the things that hits right home.

Hit #1 - I still have a lot of things to learn. There is always something new to learn. I know my friend, Gerard always says this but this time, it got me right in my very core. My life will now be very open for the Lord to fill and teach.

Hit #2 - Remember to read your manual (the Bible) always. When things go wrong go back to your manual and consult your Maker. The first time I read this fact from PDL (Purpose Driven Life) it blow me away! This time the Lord brought me to remembrance the same feeling of being blown away.

Hit #3 - No amount of self-help book or training will ever change your life without being connected to the right source.

Hit #4 - Finish Well. Don't run the race alone.

Hit #5 - Stick with your passion. This brings in the question, what is my passion? My passion is always to worship God and bring glory to his name and passion #2 would be to be a Joseph (something that adds) to the lives of the people around me and help them find their God-given purpose. This is my mission statement.

Hit #6 - When dealing with critical people, we shouuld know ourselves better and don't allow yourself to be driven by that person's opinion of you or of other people.

Hit #7 - Let God run the show. In totality, the seminar focused on life's most important focus - God. People probably went there to find tips and clues on how to climb the ladder of succes well but they got something better - the Lord of the any ladder. Cito Beltran puts it this way, "You came here wanting chicken but it happened that we are serving steak for the same price."

You must have thought this world is a Circus
Of fools and pretenders,
Of desperates and pained,
Of clowns and performers,
Of victims and losers...

You must have thought this life
is nothing but a glorious entrance and hopefully
a glorious exit.

Like a ballerina, you turn and turn until you
got confused of where you really want to go.

I would not wonder why my Saviour came down
upon seeing us this way.

He must have thought,
we don't need to dance under the world's spotlight.

He must have seen how this world's glory
never suit us.

He must have thought,
we would look good sharing His Father's glory.

He must have thought,
"I like to show you a better way to live."

My friend Partico, why have you lived this way.
i hope I can tell you to put your acts together but i can't.
i am not demanding that you strip yourself naked in front of me but at least show me
the person behind those smiles.
i promise not to say a word if you want.

Sad clown.. I hope I can tell you that I too, have broken wings.
bruised heart, broken spirit and wounded soul.

Has fear bounded you? I am telling you, I too, am afraid.

Has broken dreams immobilized you? I am telling you I have a lot of broken dreams,
failed plans, unfinished pursuit, pile of dishes to wash, mountains of "to do's" and many more.

Take it easy my friend, we all walk the same path. Some have walk in it limping, some tired, some giving up, some walked for the sake of walking and some became sad clowns like you. But there is a better way to walk this path, and that is being carried by somebody. Have you heard of footprints in the sand? I know you do. Well, He's the One who wants to carry you and me.

Be real Partico.

Your Friend,
Incarcio

On Obedience and Performance

Yesterday I read an article from Francis Kong. I knew him from his radio-segment Bussines Matters. I found his article witty and fresh so if you wan to check it out heres the address :http://www.businessmatters.org/

One of his articles, speaks about the difference between obedience and performance and he quoted some of Max Lucado's opinion bout these two. Here it is:

  • Obedience is seeking God with your whole heart.
  • Performance is having a quiet time because you'll feel guilty if you don't.
  • Obedience is finding ways to let the word of God dwell in you richly.
  • Performance is quickly scanning a passage so you can check it off your Bible reading plan.
  • Obedience is inviting guests to your home for dinner.
  • Performance is feeling anxious about whether every detail of the meal will be perfect.
  • Obedience is following God's prompting to start a small group, Bible study or relationship.
  • Performance is reluctance to let anyone else lead the group because they might not do it as well as you would.
  • Obedience is doing your best.
  • Performance is wanting to be the best.
  • Obedience is saying yes to whatever God asks of you.
  • Performance is saying yes to whatever people ask of you.
  • Obedience is following the prompting of God's spirit.
  • Performance is following a list of man-made requirements.
  • Obedience springs from a fear of God.
  • Performance springs from a fear of failure.
  • Obedience is letting the life speak out loud without the lips moving.
  • Performance is all lips but the life clearly doesn’t show it.

Sometimes we perform in our service and walk with the Lord. The funny thing is we maybe are not aware that we are already performing. Probably, the one of the most common effect of performance is fatigue. We begin to get tired praying, tired teaching the Word of God or tired singing or dancing for the Lord. We begin to feel tired of the pressure of performance. You probably heard of this, "busy with the Kingdom but not with the King". That's exactly what happens to us when we perform. We begun to think that we are "over" serving God. But to think about it there is not such thing as "over" serving God because we are supposed to serve Him. We are supposed to give our hearts, time, treasure and everthing to Him. Probably that's why the Lord loves a cheerful giver because a cheerful giver of his/her time, treasure, talent and heart is not performing. The Lord want us to relax and enjoy serving Him instead of being pressured of serving Him. Last night in my room, I poured out myself to the Lord telling Him, "Lord, I don't want to perform. So please come to me." The presence of God in my devotion time makes a lot of the difference. I had a great time talking to the Lord. Somehow, I felt the Lord working inside of me. We have to continually ask, "Am I performing?". If our answer is yes, then that means we are sidetracked by the issues of life. We have to settle it with the Lord and be true to the Lord with the situation. God loves us and He wants us to enjoy the life that he has for us. He doesn't want us to be pressured. He wants us to take it easy and just serve Him just as we are. No need to perform. :)

i seem to have lost my sights on things. i lost my focus. my motive got polluted and the saddest things in this story is, I don't even know what happened to me.

Thanks Joyce for showing me me. I guess you are only one of the few people who has the guts to beat me face-to-face lovingly. I appreaciate you being that way.

Now, I'm back.

I'd like to share points that I've read from Butch Jimenez's speech to UP graduates.

A Final Review
• What’s better than focusing on the negative? Focus on the positive.
• What’s better than working hard? It is working smart.
• What’s better than dreaming? Imagineering.
• What’s better than a vision? A cause.
• What’s better than a long speech? Definitely, a short one.

I hope Butch won't mind me copy-pasting this part of his speech. Just to remind me. What's better..
you who's choked by fear
you who's choked by apathy
wish you well
wish you'll come to your senses.

but it's not mine to give
i'll just have to wait.
not that i wish you bad.
just that i cannot force the

donkey to drink in the stream.

not that im better than you

just that --
well the fact that im singing tis
song made me think im better.

need to wash my heart clean
with clean red blood.
need to work with my Savior
in cleaning up my mess.

loving you is hard.
but hating is not worth my time.
leaving you alone isn't me.
since i promised i'll be your friend.

you probably just have a baaad day.
what i do in my bad days made me

say i get you.
everybody deserves a bad day.

one day i'll thank my Saviour
why your not like me.
He created you more special than me.
i have to choose to see you that way.

next time i'll look at you.
you will be the person my Saviour died for.
today, you might tickle my angry bone.
soon you don't have to do that
i'll give that bone to my Saviour.

let that bone go.
and it will not stuck in my throat anymore.

breathing will be easier
and I don't have to bite you.

i sotmiems thguhot that i colud denefd God but God donest need a layewr.
I'm early today. i hope i'll be early tomorrow. one of the thoughts that came to mind today is that "Life is a journey." so we should enjoy every step of it while going forward to our God-given destiny.

I had posted about eating more than what you can eat. And the Lord just whispered to me in a solid pain about this last Friday (Sept 16, 2005) . I know it's God since He already warned me about this even before, nya dli jud ku maminaw. I kept on playing with it. Last Friday was a bit of a blast and finally I told the Lord, "got the msg". Tsk! God is dealing with me dah. hehehehe.

More Ziggy Quotes

Positive thinking will let you do everything better than negative thinking will.

You can have everything in life that you want if you will just help enough other people get what they want.

You cannot tailor-make the situations in life but you can tailor-make the attitudes to fit those situations.

Thanks Ziggy!

[Zig Ziglar]
I walked down Osmena Blvrd today, somehow, walking that road makes me feel calm. Probably because of the trees on the sides but I don't realy know for sure why. I usually walk there when I want to think of something, usually when i re-evaluate things. This is one of the "usual" times, im re-evaluating a lot of things in my life. I think I forgot one of the facts of life that I've learned, * People will fail you. Whoever they are, your mother or father or brother or sister or closest friend or mentor they will fail you - even yourself will fail you. They will do things that will frustrate you, make you deperate, sometimes torture you. Wow. Isn't it amazing? So, what should I do? Be frustrated? Give up on people? A lot of people would give up on people and I could understand that, it's really frustrating at times. Anyway, As I've said, a a lot of people give up on people says statements such as, "He'll NEVER change." or "Ingon ana man jud na cya." or "Kapoy nku sigeg tambag ana wa ghapon nausab." and the likes. It's tempting to give up on people and just be miserable or indifferent. Sometimes, I want to "not care" because I just think for awhile that some people didn't deserve "care". Or we try the less "draconian" approach to this problem, we try to expect less from people; that way, they always reach on our expectations. Still [shrug] isn't it a form of "giving up" on people? But God never gave up on people. If there is anybody who have the right to give up and quit caring, it's the Lord. WWJD. If Jesus is in this situation, where some people failed His expectation, He would not stop caring. He would undestand the people rather than grade them a failed grade. It's so hard to be God.

So what should I do then? Give up? [No way!!] I found this quote helpful from my friend Ziggy "Expect the best. Prepare for the worst. Capitalize on what comes." - Zig Ziglar.

Why wait for the time that you are only given a limited time to live, to live life to the full when you can do it NOW?

Speak and say the words that no one else will ever say.
Love like the world we know is over in a day.

Kiss you mom and tell her you love her.
Hug you father and tell him he is the best dad in the whole wide world.

Bless your kids and express to them how great the future you want for them.

Love your sisters and your brothers and let them know that you are glad they are your family.

Love your friends and make them know that they are special to you.

Breathe the air like your never breath in a million years.

Dance in the rain.

Choose to encourage rather than to criticize.

Give hope and live in faith.

Quit worrying.

Express gratitude more than saying thank you.

Pray with joy and freedom.

Celebrate the goodness of God.

Swim, dance, sing, express your being.

Choose to be joyful.

Exercise compassion.

Empathize.

Be quick to listen.

Be quick to release forgiveness.

*listing the things that i need to do. Sometimes, writing makes the doing easier than just trying to remember it. =)

PSALMS 23

I remembered, during my late elementary to my early high school years that my mother would wake me up early in the morning and ask me to read Psalms 23 while she talks with the Lord. I did it for quite awhile until I don't have to read it because I already memorized it. At that time I don't know that it would be of use to me.

During my early college years, I rebelled against the Lord and became an atheist.
I would go home to the province and debate with my mom regarding the existence of God and the power of free will. Even though, I thought I won the debate, my mom will always pray for me in my sleep.

Then, I became tired with my rebellion and I broke down. Humanism could not help me and human reasoning could not reason me out of things. I remembered Psalms 23 and how my mom prayed for me. I cried out to the God of my mother to save me. I felt the peace of the Lord came to me. It was a bliss. The Lord gave me His peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

It's just amazing how the Lord orchestrates things.

EPHESIANS 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

If you will just have 3 months to live with 2 million dollars what will you do?
Loving someone is already a prize in itself. It is not a mean to an end (to be loved).

-in retrospect-

Forgive me

Forgive me:

For the words I spoke that has caused you pain.
For the judging look that cast on you.
For the hurtful gestures that I intended you to see.
For being naive in dealing with your pains
For being indifferent or hard-hearted.
For the things that I did to help you but is really making things worse.
For pushing only my agenda and leaving you with yours.
For pretending that nothing is wrong when something really is out of sync.
For pretending that I'm not hurt when really I am.
For hoping that things are going to be alright and not doing anything.

retrospect

Have you finally found the one you've given your heart toOnly to find that one won't give their heart to you.
--Mandy Moore

Josiah said...
yeah i did! and it was painful. but think about it, isnt it part of the bargain of giving? I mean, we (human beings) don't have any consensus that when ever somebody gives you something you have to receive it, right? When we give our heart to somebody, we are making ourselves vulnerable to pain from that person - esp if that person rejects you. It will only be painful if you think about the pain but if you think about the "joy of loving" that person even that that person might not love you back, the joy of sharing jokes with that person, the joy of the person's company even for a moment, then I believe its worth the pain.

Vins' Saga 4: 3 Purple Gays

Last night, there are bout 100+ -200+ people in the auditorium. No one went forward because Vins didn't asked them to come forward. Instead the message for the night is more on understanding gays and lesbian. One statement that he said that is worth quoting goes like this,"When a murderer or a lier or a thief or a gay or a lesbian will stand in the presence of God, He will look at all of them in the same way and He will hug them and the same way He will give them a second chance." God looks at everyone in the same way and He is willing to give us all a secind chance. The Bible says that God doesn't desire for anyone to perish but for everyone to come to repentance; for everyone to be reconciled with Him.

Among the crowd are 3 gay newcomers. I hope that they felt the love of the Lord flowing in that auditorium. I hope that PC will not practice condemnation but practice forgiveness and acceptance; not tolerance but acceptance. I hope more gay people will come to the Lord because of the love of God flowing in PC. I hope the congregation will have a change of mind.

And another thing, Vins mentioned one thing last night thats worth mentioning again, "People change in God's own time not our time, so stop trying to change people".

The saga, revealed much to me and has broaden my understanding of people. One interesting thing happened, Vins Santiago sung Be Magnified last night. I reviewed the song in my blog few days ago. I was nice hearing it once more.

The saga will continue tonight and I will be on the watch...

Pro-Gay: Vins' Saga 111

This is the second time I wrote this article:

Sept 7, the first night of the saga was a success. A lot of people came forward and received healing, reconcilation and forgiveness with the Lord. Interesting thing, I only saw one gay person in about 200-300 people in the auditorium. Why?

I invited my gay friends to attend the seminar but I felt a lot of hesitation in their part and I could understand that very much. They are thinking that if the come there, they will become straight. But with all honesty of the heart, that is not my intention, I just want them to undestand themselves and meet God.

I listened to Pastor Noel and Vins Santiago's conversation last night and they mentioned a lot of wrong mind-set and attitude towards gays and lesbian that I am doing. I believe that is hindering me and a lot of believers to minister to this group of people. I want to change my mind in this area and I want to think the way God wants me to think.

Tonight is another night and the saga will continue.

The saga continues...

Vins' PressCon was a success. Our efforts were not wasted. But the work didn't stop there. The next four nights and one day after the PressCon will determine the success of this event. I could say that, if a lot of people will come then we will attain our goal for having this event. We need the Force of the Lord to be upon us. If not, this event will not be a success. Sometimes, we don't know what to do but like Jehoshapat, our eyes should focus on the God.

Press Con

Today, 8:48Am, I posted my first post in Master Qui-Gon-Jin's PC. In less than an hour we need to be there in Ayala for Vins Santiago's PressCon. Pressure is rising as a technical breakdown just popped up in the eleventh hour. I'm bit sad but I am hopeful that things are going to be alright and we are still gonna pull this thing off. Master Qui-Gon doesn't have enough sleep but I think he is used to this kind of lifestyle and he should be OK. His Jedi apprentice will be coming bringing with her an extra light saber and a hologram captor for the presentation. Still we are hoping that things are gonna be brighter. And Vins and Pastor is gonna be smiling from ear to ear.

Hating My Hair

I used no hate my hair because it's not straight. I like to have a straight Patrick Garcia-like-one-length hair. My hair is curly and it has a life in its own.Whenever I try styling my hair it won't go as I pleased; it styles itself. And I don't really like it. Many times, I looked at my father's picture and ask God why in the world did I have to inheret the curly hair of my father and not the straight hair of my mother. Many times I spend time putting some mixed shampoo on my hair and then I would brush it more than a hundered times in hope that it will straighten up. It never did.
The ladies in my school love guys with straight hair. The curly me just felt more misserable. I have a hair only a mother can love. I sometimes talk with the Lord about why did he create me with a curly hair. Despite of my curly hair, I still tried having a one-length hair. After all the hard work of one-lengthing my hair I ended-up looking like a Nickolodean character in Hey Arthur. Still, whatever I look like, I felt IN and for me all that matters at that time is to be IN and not OUT. Having a one-lenght hair ain't that really cool. People's treatment on me is more or less the same as when I had my curly unstyled hair. People still look at me the same as before. I felt that everything I did just to straighten my hair didn't made any difference.
I got fed up and I ended-up shaving my hair (almost skin head). Later on, I realized that I am unique just like everybody else. I realize I don't have to be like Patrick because I am not Patrick. Patrick is unique just like me. Today, I looked at my self-styling curly hair and I could say that I'm very much happy with my hair. It's unique, nobaody in this world has a hair like mine. Its not one-length but it's pretty nice and it suits me - none conforming and unpredictable!

I have made You too small in my eyes
O Lord, forgive me;
And I have believed in a lie
That You were unable to help me.
But now, O Lord, I see my wrong
Heal my heart and show Yourself strong;
And in my eyes and with my song
O Lord, be magnified

Be magnified, O LordYou are highly exalted;
And there is nothing You can't do
O Lord, my eyes are on You.
Be magnified,O Lord, be magnified.

- -------------------------------------
Don Moen has always been my mentor.
My passion and hunger for the Lord grew because this man allowed himself to be used by God.

In this song Be Magnified,
it is true that sometimes make God small in our own eyes.
We sometimes think that God can't help us in our problems.
And we shrink into thinking that we are on our own in this life.
We think that our problems are so big that it can't be overcame.
Oftentimes, we end up being frustrated, discouraged, depressed and giving-up.

But God is bigger than our problems and He is bigger than our circumstances.
The moment we magnify God in our eyes then we are looking at things in our eyes of faith.
And the moment that we just look at God in our problems then the Bible says that "He will keep us in perfect peace."
We will be at peace on the fact that God is in control. We will see that He has inscribed us in the palm of His hand.

On Gift-Giving

Gift-giving is funny, especially on birthdays. Gift-giving actually reveals the heart of the giver. It also reveals how the giver knows the receiver as a person. Vague gifts actually, means that the giver doesn't have a clue what you like. Which ultimately means you are not close friends. Wrong gifts might mean that the giver does not know you or the giver is not happy in his/her giving. When we give gifts to friends, we think of the things that they like and the things that they would enjoy receiving. During birthdays, a lot of people doen't want to spell-out what they like to receive. Why? Because they ... (zip). I will not spell it here.

shark, bird and mew

Just to not forget.

It's not a good thing to eat if you are already full. You will vomit and be sick.

I know, it might be delicious but still I am already full. I know it will make me sick. The food in my stomach is already enough. I don't need to eat more. It's gluttony to eat something when you are already full. It's bad according to the Bible and according to any health book.

Suddently, I can now see things in a brighter light. It's like God has orchestrated the whole thing. The Law of Niche suddenly made more sense. It's like a perfect fit. For this event I can remember two verses:

1.) ROMANS 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose.
2.)Proverbs 4:18
The path of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.

The best thing to do is to cast out discouragement when things seemed blurry.

All glory and honor belongs to the Lord Jesus Christ.
That's me right there lying in a "duyan" .
Just relaxing.. thinking life through.
Breathing.. I want sleep but I can't since
this duyan is wet and we are about to go home.

Love Fries

Questions?

What if God will literally be our boss and He will pay us, according to His richess and glory, to evangelize and speak to people about the Lord and share the goodness of Christ will we still be ashamed to do it?Or afraid?

In the totality of the partial

In the totality of partial,

Friendship can't be bought
and friends don't have prices.

You are whole with the one who loves you
coz with them you have nothing to prove.
No acts to play. No strength to project.

Knowing yourself is the first step to the next round.

Life is worth breathing and living for.

Family is what you got and you should cherish them.

There will be more questions than answers.

Loving someone is the next best thing of the next best thing.

The next best thing is yet to come.

Cherish every moment.

Live.. experience (as long as its not evil) and dream.

Hope keeps mouse, trap in a pit, to live longer.

Living for yourself is lonely and pointless.

Being in th presence of God is where wholeness is.

This world is empty.

Being patient with people is really a hard thing to do
but probably on of the best thing you could do.

Dream big.Live your dreams.

Have faith rather than doubt.
Have faith in people.

In the totality of partial...

God of the Second Chance

God is the God of the second chance. No matter what mess we've done in the past, God is still willing to forgive us and give a a brand new and fresh start in life. NO matter how old we are, we are still capable of a fresh start. We could not say to God that we are too old for His forgiveness or say to God that we are so messed-up that our lives are beyond repair or say to God that we already missed the train of opportunity. Their is nothing impossible for Him to do. God can fix our lives even though how mess-up it looks, he can hold it back together and give it a brand new start. If we say that we already missed the train of opportunity then God can bring in more trains for us to ride to our God-given destiny.
Psalms 51:17 says God will not despise "a broken and a contrite heart". So when we come to Him for forgiveness, He will not set us aside. Instead, like the Father to the prodigal son, He will run towards us and wrap His arms around us. And when we try to talk about our mistakes He will silence us by putting His hands in our lips. God has already forgiven us. And He has already forgotten our mistakes. The Lord loves us so much that He gave His own Son Jesus to die in our behalf. God wants to give us His second chance. It not too late. Its NEVER too late.

God of the second chance

This is not just another lyrics of a song. This is one of the songs I would like to sing in the church one day (I hope Pastor O will introduce this to the church.) . I just like it coz its relaxing and the song says that our God is the God of the second chance. He will not forasake us but will receive us into Himself if we come to him and repent. I know a lot of people wants to make a fresh new start with their lives and the GOOD NEWS is God is willing to give that to them (to all of us) because He is the God of the second chance. God is good and His mercy is new every morning. The love of God for us is from everlasting to everlasting. Amazing!

Sing Over Me
Israel Houghton, Cindy Cruise-Ratcliff, Meleasa Houghton
Chorus:
Sing over me
Songs of deliverance
Lord, cover me with Your mighty hand
Sing over me
God of the second chance,
Sing over me once again
Verse:
Once again, I'm drawing near to worship
As You're drawing me
Once again, You lift my head and lift my heart
To heights unseen
In a moment I am in Your presence
Everything is clear
As I hear heaven's melodyAs You begin to...

Stop trying to change others.
Stop being too busy thinking how to change others.

When you make a mistake there is always a reason but when others make one there is no excuse.

Why do you have to look at yourself in a rose-colored glasses and look at others in a magnifying glass?

Programmer's Love Affair

It takes O(n) to search for you..
O(1) to fall for you..
O(n^2) to get to know you..
O(n^3) to court you..
NP for you to say, "Yes, I love you too."
And when you do..
No stack or queue..
No hash or heap..
Nor any tree..
can describe the way I'll store you in my heart..
Traverse me depth-first..
Or breadth-first..
You can be assure to be found first..

When we feel down, it doesn't mean that we must be down.
We have a choice.
When we feel angry, it doesn't mean that we should be angry.
We have a choice.
When we are alone and feel lonely, we don't have to be lonely.
We maybe alone but not necessarily lonely.
When we feel passive, it doesn't mean we have to be gruggy.
We can choose to be active.
Our emotions are God's gift to us.
He made us with buiult-in emotions.
They help us see the world in different shades of color.
It is not a bad thing to feel.
It is not an evil thing to feel sad or happy or angry.
Being sad is an emotion but being resentful is a choice.
Being angry is an emotion but to go farther than that is a choice.
We have a choice and God wants us to make wise choices in handling our feelings.

7:39 pm in Ayala Park..

lovers on the sides..
business and coffee..
shopping and tambay..
guards roaming around..
twinkling lights all around..
sweet couple in my back..
guys busy with their phone..
girls giggle ..
smoking and boozing..
talking and trashing..
laughing and smilling..
kids running around..
hugging and kissing beside the streams..
people passing by..
7:40pm..

Comfort Zone

I realized that I have to get out of my comfort zone to rise up to another level.
I have to get out of my own way.
I have to be awake at my comfortable time to sleep.
I have to change my regular thinking and enlarge my vision.
I have to believe God for bigger things.
I have to see it happen in my own eyes to see it happen in the physical.
I am yet to see the best things in my life.

We are living in a well but God has still have oceans for us.
