another techno

my friend asked me how to turn-off filter key.
The Activation:
Filter key option gets activated by pressing right shift key for about 8 seconds.
A window will pop-out telling you about activating the filter key. Click OK to go on and cancel to cancel. But this must be another Microsoft bug since clicking cancel will not actually cancel the activation of this option.

Another way to activate it is to go to Control Panel->Accessibility Option, ont the Keyboard Tab check use filter keys.

But do you really want to do that?

The Effect:
What will happen after the activation is that, every time you click on a window (or a page) everyhting gets highlighted. More weird things will happen but I didn't explore its effect on my PC since it was not my intention to really activate it.

The Cure:
Hold the two shift keys at the same time. No window will pop-out but the filter key option gets disabled.
